Length decides where the piece sits. A 14–16" chain sits at the base of the neck as a choker. 16–18" — our most-ordered length — lands on or just below the collarbone. 18–20" falls between the collarbone and the bust, and 22–24" reaches mid-chest, which is where a pendant reads best. If you are layering, leave at least 2 inches between chains: a 16" + 18" + 22" stack sits cleanly and does not tangle. Chain style decides the character. Cuban and Figaro links read bolder and hold their shape. Box and satellite chains are the quiet layering bases. Paperclip sits in between — structured but light. Herringbone and snake chains lie flat against the skin and catch the most light. Almost everything here is 18k gold fill — a solid layer of gold pressure-bonded to a jeweller's brass core, containing roughly 100 times more gold than plating.
