To size: measure around the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the bone, and add about ½". Most of our anklets run 9–10" and include an extender chain, so there is room to adjust between a close fit and a looser drape. The size guide has the full method.

An anklet gets treated worse than any other piece of jewelry you own. It goes in the ocean, into pools, through sand, into the shower, and it rarely comes off. That is exactly the case gold-plated jewelry fails: the plating is thinner than a sheet of plastic wrap and wears through, and then the brass underneath meets salt water. One habit is worth keeping: rinse with fresh water and pat dry after the sea or a chlorinated pool. Not because the piece is fragile, but because salt and chlorine accumulate over months.
