After ocean swims, rinse your piece under cool fresh water for 30 seconds. Salt is a natural mineral that can dull metal over time, but a quick rinse after every beach day is all it takes to counteract it completely.
After the pool, give your jewelry a brief rinse as well. Chlorinated water is more concentrated than the ocean, so a rinse goes a long way. Pat dry with a soft cloth and you are done.
